We recommend choosing the activity level that best coincides with your daily work/life routine, excluding optional exercise. Highly Active and Extremely Active options are recommended if your occupation is physically demanding such as a professional athlete or construction worker. Not Active or Somewhat Active options are recommended if your occupation is in an office setting. Lose It! will use your activity level to calculate your calorie budget and to estimate the number of calories you burn in a day. Lose It! provides four activity levels that members can choose: Not Active, Somewhat Active, Highly Active, Extremely Active. Your BMR is the number of calories your body burns at rest and is the minimum daily calorie burn required to keep your body functioning - Lose It! calculates this for you. Lose It! estimates your daily target burn using your Estimated Energy Requirement (EER), which is your basal metabolic rate (BMR) multiplied by your chosen physical activity level (PAL). How does Lose It! estimate what I burn in a day (Target Burn)? The number of calories you see as your Target Burn is the number of calories you’ll need to burn before earning a calorie bonus. To see the number of calories you need to burn before earning a bonus, follow the steps below: The bonus will appear on your Log under the Exercise section. When Lose It! recognizes you've burned enough calories to account for what Lose It! estimates you burn in a day, the additional calorie burn is given as a bonus. When integrating Fitbit with Lose It!, Lose It! receives the total calorie burn from Fitbit.
